Kuta

October 2015:

Truly an amazing, weird, vibrant and living city, which grew  from a small beachtown into a real metropole in throughout the last thirty years.

You find everything everywhere on every corner there. From surfershops , tatoostudios to malls, foodcourts, warungplaces (local food) Mc Donalds, all kinds of hotels for every budget and lots of places to party. Insane and wonderful at the same time!

Places to stay: First recommandation to go and stay in Kuta after a long journey is Sun Island Hotel. Very nice staff, great breakfast buffets and nice pools, one of them towards the main street of legian, the other one is a real nice rooftop pool. More on my fotogallery. For bookings and further informations check out http://www.sunislandlegian.com/

If you're looking for something nice and cheap with good surfervibes downtown, you can't miss out on the legendary SUKA Beach Inn, JNL. Legian Kuta gang Poppies II.  phone: (0361)752793 Located right next to Poppies Lane II, one of the streets of Kuta where you find surfshops, great bars, restaurants and a 10minutes walk away from Kuta beach.

This place includes all different kinds of rooms from very low budget to nice air-conditioned rooms. Chose and you will be just fine with all fine there!

Reservations can't be done in advance. You can just go and show up, they always have a room for any surfers heart!

Right next to Suka Beach Inn you find nice bars with livemusic like MAX (including cheap drinks), Staks Steakhouse right up the street with real Aussie-food and across the street from staks a very nice Sushi place you shouldn't miss out on. One scooter ride away towards legian you find the legendary Balcony Restrauant & Bar, Jl. Bene Sari 16, Legian 80361, Kuta phone: +62 361 750 655.Tatoos can be done pretty much everywhere around every corner. A very good and professional tatoo studio can be found at Jl.Kartika Plaza, called Get Inked. Adress:

Where to go out; Well that's pretty easy in Kuta, there are many great places all over if you only walk for a vew minutes. Loads of kids would start their night out at this real cool australian surfers place called Alleycats, right next to Poppies lane II. You can't miss out on that place for sure, just be aware of these double-double drinks. No, don't ask me whats inn there, but it's worth a cup, or two, three..

You also get incredible english breakfast there, sunday roasts, indian curry, kottbullar

Once this place closes, walk down Poppieslane II to legian street and you're getting to the clubs Skygarden and Eikon, there is a Reagge Club and loads of other bars right along the road. So all the dancing and partying is happening there.

Attention: Please be aware of the gangs stealing loads of cell phones, cameras, and valets. Never leave it or just carry a bag. My advice, take as less with you as you can, no bags for the girls. Be aware of a bunch of people comming up to you wanting to sell you a scooter ride: your valet or phone is gone before you even realize it.. so be aware but not scared, enjoy the night at crazy Kuta! You'll love it.

Last but not least, a wonderful and calm nice place for a sunset in Kuta is eighter right at the city beach or you go towards Seminyak, where you find that place called La Plancha, located on Mesari Beach, where you sit on beanbags and just enjoy some great company of friends and good food including special white Sangria, something else! Attached some of my greatest impressions of Kuta and memories to get some idea of this citylife there.. more about other places following soon...
